Tory Conspiracy or Cock-up?

WHO could ever forget October 20, 2011 - the day Tory's on Worthing's planning committee voted to concrete over the Titnore Green Belt. Well we haven't and that's why we are taking the unusual step of asking everyone to Vote on May 3rd. I'll explain.

We were at a public meeting hosted by our friends Don't Over Develop Durrington because of the impending council vote on the Titnore development. All local councillors were invited and most spoke, one who didn't was the councillor for Northbrook Mary Harding who excused herself, explaining that as she was on the planning committee it wasn't appropriate for her to say anything.

How strange then just day's later, and just before that committee would decide the Titnore plan, the councillor was reported as being on holiday and was being substituted by Bryan Turner - a known development supporter.

Now some maybe charitable and think that this was just a typical Tory cock-up - not us though. We say it was a calculated Tory trick to rob Northbrook of it's Green Belt and we hope you feel they should be punished for it.

These are the Tory councillors who were on that planning committee and the Wards they represent:

Bryan Turner in Gaisford Ward. 

Joan Bradley in Marine Ward.

Nicky Waight in Salvington Ward.

Carol Molineaux in Heene Ward

Clive Roberts in Central Ward.

Please check what Ward you live in and although some of the above are not up for re election this year we are instead asking you not to vote for their Tory chum who is.

However if you live in the Northbrook Ward, Mary Harding IS up for re election so please don't vote for her. She needs a very long holiday.
